Delivering KMIBridge – The Framework of a Comprehensive Bridge Management Platform

Featuring Marlon Aguero, Kinemetrics, Inc.

Bridge monitoring and management are complex, especially when considering the combined requirements of monitoring long-term changes and detecting potential damage from seismic events.

In this informative webinar and Q&A session, Marlon Aguero will present the workings of an advanced platform for the assessment and management of bridges.

The KMIBridge platform combines advanced inspection and testing techniques, digital twinning, and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). The overall goal of the framework is to deliver an SHM platform that will efficiently monitor the safety and reliability of bridge infrastructure to increase public safety and reduce life cycle costs of bridge maintenance.

This presentation places special focus on asset management supported by appropriate SHM and digital twin technologies. Mr. Aguero also details implementation of the platform for two types of possible events: regular SHM monitoring and immediate response to disasters, such as earthquakes.
