Before working for Kinemetrics Ian worked in Engineering Management positions for several defense and aerospace companies in the U.K. and USA, on MEMS and other sensor systems. At Kinemetrics, he was the system architect for Kinemetrics Altus, Rock, Obsidian, and Etna 2 products. He holds several US Patents on MEMS seismometers and recently designed the electronics for the SP-Seismometer for the NASA InSight Mission to Mars. He holds a B.A. from Cambridge University in Theoretical Physics, an MSc from London University in Solid State Physics, an MSEE from Caltech and an MBA from UCLA.
