The IASPEI Latin American and Caribbean Seismological Commission (LACSC)was established to advance the science of seismology across Latin America and the Caribbean. Proposed during the 2012 Seismology Symposium in Lima, Peru, and formally approved by the IASPEI Council in 2013, the LACSC promotes research, scientific collaboration, and the training of the next generation of seismologists.
