Since joining Kinemetrics in 1990, Ogie has been instrumental in transforming the company from scientific instrumentation manufacturer to world’s leading scientific application solutions and services provider. Ogie has progressed through a series of technical and leadership roles at Kinemetrics, most recently serving as the Vice President of Sales since 2003. His open-minded approach to problem solving and listening to customers’ needs has extended the company’s product and technology leadership and created millions of dollars in value for the company. Ogie Kuraica was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinemetrics Inc. and elected a member of the board of directors on May 2015.

In the 1980’s, Dr. Steim and colleague Prof. Erhard Wielandt developed the first commercial 24-bit digitizer for global seismological applications, and created the technique of digital very-broad-band seismometry, now the defacto global standard. In 1987 he founded Quanterra, the leading company world-wide in digital broadband instrumentation technology for global seismological research. Much of the world’s digital data for global seismological research is recorded using the eponymous Steim data compression. Dr. Steim oversees strategic product development among the divisions of Kinemetrics. Kinemetrics acquired Quanterra in 1999. He received AB, AM and PhD degrees from Harvard University.
Prior to joining Kinemetrics, Toby Beiner was Manager with Deloitte and Director of Finance and Accounting at Bosch Siemens Home Appliances Corporation. At Kinemetrics, he is responsible for leading the Finance, HR, IT and Legal matters. He holds a BSc in Accounting (summa cum laude) and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.
Before working for Kinemetrics Ian worked in Engineering Management positions for several defense and aerospace companies in the U.K. and USA, on MEMS and other sensor systems. At Kinemetrics, he was the system architect for Kinemetrics Altus, Rock, Obsidian, and Etna 2 products. He holds several US Patents on MEMS seismometers and recently designed the electronics for the SP-Seismometer for the NASA InSight Mission to Mars. He holds a B.A. from Cambridge University in Theoretical Physics, an MSc from London University in Solid State Physics, an MSEE from Caltech and an MBA from UCLA.
Dr. VanZandt has held technical staff and management positions in US government laboratories, established private companies, and numerous startup entities. He has specialized in the development of high-performance geophysical measurement instrumentation that has been deployed in deep space, in the Earth’s atmosphere, in remote locations on land, and on the ocean bottom. For more than 25 years, he designs seismic sensors for applications ranging from oil and gas exploration to global seismology. Dr. VanZandt received an AB (Physics) from Dartmouth College and a PhD (Applied Physics) from Stanford University.

Prior to joining Kinemetrics, Mathias was Research Scientist in the Engineering Department of INTEVEP, the former R&D center of the Venezuelan petroleum industry. He was responsible for the seismic and strong-motion networks, co-developed the seismic hazard map of Venezuela, and was consultant to the advisory board of the Earthquake Zonation for Structural Design of Buildings of the National Committee of Standards in Venezuela. Mathias joined Kinemetrics in 1996 to start the seismic network design group, formalized in 2007 as the Open Systems & Services Division, Mathias being the Manager of the Division. In 2014 Mathias was member of the Model and the Standards Committees for the implementation plan of the California Earthquake Early Warning System. Mathias became Vice President Kinemetrics in 2015. Mathias has a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Hamburg, Germany.

Mohamed leads Kinemetrics Swiss Office since 1999 supervising the services for the seismic monitoring of the nuclear power plants in Europe and managing the sales for MEA region. He was the on-site project manager for Abu Dhabi Seismic Hazard and Risk Analysis (2011-2013) Project and for the Saudi National Seismic Network (KACST, 1996-1999). Mohamed is currently business development manager for the Kinemetrics Dubai Office. He holds an Electrical Engineer degree and a diploma on business management from CRPM Switzerland.
